10. 31.11 Mobilization and Demobilization of Heavy CPT Cone Penetrometer Equipments and Personnel Including Setting Out of Heavy CPT Penetrometer This unit rate includes the mobilisation of necessary equipments (tracks, vehicles, excavators, drill rig, CPT equipments, etc.), personnel and materials per staff to the project site for carrying out of the CPT soundings and demobilisation of the same after completion of all field works as per specification and as directed by the Engineer. The Geotechnical Surveyor must provide in the BOQ the number of staff required to perform the works. The site must to be clean after demobilisation. 11. 31.12 Realization of CPT Penetrometer Testing This price per linear meter covers the execution of the CPT sounding with a heavy penetrometer (20 tons minimum). This price includes: - tip and sleeve resistance, the ratio between the two, and lithologic interpretation of each 5 cm interval shall be continuously logged and can usually be printed onsite and submitted in the digital data (Excel sheet) to the client, - recordings showing the direction of the penetration of the probes and the encountered difficulties/incidents during penetration. (Max depth 35m) - This item includes the necessary cost for entering all these data & information in necessary tables & graphs and finally furnishing them in the form of standard sub-soil investigation report with CD containing video of sub-soil investigation operation of concerned site duly signed by competent engineer & exploratory office. 15. 31.13 Conducting plate load test as per ASTM D1194 or equivalent standard providing required arrangement of three circular steel plates with minimum thickness of 25 mm and varying in diameter from 305 mm to 762 mm respectively or square steel bearing plates of equivalent area for minimum 50 tons loading capacity of hydraulic or mechanical jack assembly and applying load in 2 cycles with maintainging time interval of each loading increment of not less than 15 minutes. Continue each test until a peak load is reached or until the ratio of load increment to settlement increment reaches a minimum, steady magnitude. 51. 31.8 Borehole Pressuremeter Test for measuring the elastic properties and stress state in rocks and soils. During measurement pressuremeter probe is inserted into a borehole of diameter from 70 to 90 mm, down to a depth of 50 m, where up to 20 MPa of pressure can be applied on the surrounding rock mass, depending on the soil condition. The result of measurement with pressuremeter, in rocks or soils, is stress - strain curve from which it will be possible to obtain and assess some of the properties in-situ stress state. From the data curve, among other characteristics, it will be possible to determine elastic modulus of rock, reload - unload elastic module, limit of plastic deformation, undrained shear strength, shear modulus and limit pressure.
